Default No, it's not a "conspiracy". Just a Pious Fraud.

No, there's no conspiracy among Global Warming, er, Climate Change, er, Climate Crisis scientists. Just the missionary zeal of true believers:

Quote:
Watch and learn, people. Or dip in my manual of How to be a Global Warming Prophet and read the handy hints of Professor Stephen Schneider, global warming guru at Stanford University...

... "We cannot dismiss the possibility of potentially catastrophic outliers and that includes Greenland and West Antarctica (ice sheets breaking up), massive species extinctions, intensified hurricanes and all those things. There's at least a 10 per cent chance of that . . . My God, that's Russian roulette with a Luger"...

...But? Er, yes. But "on the other hand, we are not just scientists but human beings" who wanted to "capture the public's imagination" on this awful climate change.

"So," admitted Schneider, "we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have."
Or as another Global Warm-monger [Harvard University PhD candidate Monika Kopacz, Atmospheric Chemistry and Applied Mathematics] says:

Quote:
It is no secret that a lot of climate-change research is subject to opinion, that climate models sometimes disagree even on the signs of the future changes (e.g. drier vs. wetter future climate). The problem is, only sensational exaggeration makes the kind of story that will get politicians’ — and readers’ — attention. So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action and thus more federal financing to reduce the scientific uncertainty.
It's OK, though - it's all for the greater good. No word on whether dismissing and marginalizing dissenting views is part of that scientific duty to "capture the public's imagination". But we can guess.

Everything I predicted years ago is coming true. This was all a farce from day one. As soon as the Liberals (otherwise known as the 'tolerant' party) started shouting down any dissenters, you could see the writing on the wall. All that is left is massive changes and billions of dollars wasted and the Liberals will then claim victory over the Global Warm....err Climate Change menace when all the dire predictions never come to pass. Just watch. They will claim their dilligence averted a world climate crisis. Anyone want to place a bet on this scenario?

Alternative energy sources are, I think,
and there is that direction which will deduce the world from crisis.
The epoch of oil and gas monopolies will end.

So, why do they do everything possible to eradicate nuclear power? Follow that question to it's end and you will find the true goals of "environmentalists".

Hell, these Luddites won't even let people build wind farms, for chrissake. And they celebrate every dismantled dam that lets fish f**k. Not exactly sure where they think the electricity to power their electric cars will come from.

Nookleair power is the way to go, hell, if the French can do it...oui oui!

We've had ships at sea since 1954 with GE Nuke plants on board, haven't had any "accidents" or Melt Downs, much to the dismay of Jane Fonda and wahtshisface, that dead actor guy...uh... Ensigne Pulver.

You're granting them too much ability to think of consequences.
