Some tri-colour Gnocci, boiled then lightly-sautee'd in sweet-cream butter and Olive Oil with Garlic, Basil, and Cilantro - then topped with a Vodka/Parmesan Marinara sprinkled with Romano, Asiago, Provolone, and Fontina cheeses............

Goddammit that was delicious. I mean, it was "Whack the Chef" good. Only, I was the Chef..........

I'm depraved on a count I'm deprived.... Popeyes can't be a regional thing based on the responses. Maybe down in Syracuse.

Did a search on Popeye's site. 1 on Drum, 2 in Rochester. Could it be that good?

it could!! they've just been up here for about 10 years, I used to eat them in Virginia when I was a sailor, I love e'm.. glad they expanded. : )

The jalapeno & fried cheese poppers, if eaten enough have the odd combined action of:

#1: First giving you gas
#2: Then plugging you up like a corked bottle

No wonder Popeye was so touchy. "Auk auk auk, Olive hands me the Beeno, I feels an ill wind blowin' tonight!"

"I will gladly pay you Tuesday for an X-Lax today."

I used to run a boat for an attorney's firm; a nice 50' sailboat they'd taken as their fee for defending a pot smuggler. We'd do daysails out of Cape Canaveral with the firm partners and their guests. One day they brought Popeyes, and I didn't get a chance to eat until the end of the day. The chicken had "turned" and I got sick as a dog. Now even a whiff of that paprika or whatever seasoning they use will make my stomach flip...whoouf.
