Default Just missed a sweet deal!

I've been at this trade show in Orlando since Sunday. A friend of mine calls and says a buddy of his wants to unload his Ducati. He thinks I may be interested.

According to him it's a 998 with 750 miles on it! The guy wanted 5 grand for it!

The model year and bike wasn't adding up though and I thought it might be a 999. My friend is no bike expert and couldn't answer many questions so I asked him to get some pictures for me.

999 great deal at 5 grand.
998 insane deal at 5 grand.

Well of course this had to come up while I'm in FL instead of San Diego.

My friend called me back and said pictures wouldn't be necessary because the bike is sold. Dang!

Marvin Hamlisch played Happy Birthday at our dinner party last night. It would be nice if some of you would do the same.

I'm old and don't have a stolen Duc in the garage!

Happy birthday Buz! Lots of good deals out there I'm sure more will come your way. After I bought my ZX-6R I got calls from dealers selling 08 CBR1000s way off the list price. Weeks before they would laugh at my offers now they would take my offer in a heart beat. I couldn't resist the charms of the ZX-6R. what a difference 6 years makes in technology from my old Ninja.

Half the stuff I buy is when I'm drunk. followed by the inevitable "whereda'f*ckdid'atcomefrom"...next morning..
