Actually, it really doesn't matter to some. Olbermann is still crying about Bush. Doesn't he have another act yet?

Grover Cleveland! When he got bad economic news and people started screaming for the govt to "do something" he went golfing. He's the only President who was ever brought back after someone else replaced him.

Bring back Grover Cleveland, I say.

The GOPs lost fiscal conservatism and the Dems push to put anyone and everyone into houses they couldn't afford is what screwed the pooch. It wasn't Bush's fault. He certainly didn't lead the GOP effectively, but he's not the sole person responsible for the collapse of our banking and mortgage system. During the time Bush was in office the GOP lost it's core objective for the sake of "inclusion". Guess we learnt that lesson Leroy. They have to be taught conservative values early or they grow out of liberalism and into conservatism as they grow wiser & older. You heard me. Rarely will you see the reverse happen. Liberals will grow up and change to conservatives. But true conservatives never de-evolve backwards into liberal leanings. If that happens they were never really conservative in the first place. Kinda like Arlen Spector.

Of course it's not Obama's fault. But what goes around comes around.

However the leaders of the country reflect the general moral state of the country. I have never seen a more corrupt and economically incompetent leadership than I see now in the Congress and the White House. Wait 6 months and they will be wanting to spend another trillion dollars. I'll take bets. However China is already making noises that it's buying our debt only because it has no where else to go. This is not a good thing.

When a nation reaches the point where most people think they are not responsible for their own success or failure... regardless of who is president.. then that nation is doomed. We can thank the schools and the therapeutic state for most of that.

The pols promise things that can't possibly deliver. Then when it comes apart they naturally try to place all the blame on someone besides themselves. The population has become far too greedy and demands free stuff. Free health care? Are doctors and nurses going to work for free. Would you?

Eventually the people producing valuable stuff will get tired of supporting 100 million of looters and moochers (like this woman) and climb in the wagon too. If you've never read Atlas Shrugged do so. We are now entering the economic conditions described in the book and the pols are acting EXACTLY like Ayn Rand predicted.

That is so very true. IMHO, the GOP lost touch with its constituency.
