As for denying coverage it just sounds like the feds catching up to the HMO's who will kill you now to save money that you are paying them already. Biz as usual... Luckily SF has china town. My herbalist kicks azz, I only go to western doc if my arm was torn off and I needed it sewed on. Otherwise they are just legal drug pushers. Drugs that need to be synthesized to be patented for profit and have worse side effects than the disease they are meant to cure. Man those drug reps were slimy, loved the gourmet free food in the conf rooms after their visits though.
We also go to a herbalist. Doctors are only for things like pneumonia and hip replacements. I've had my gall bladder cured, my wife's stomach aches (the Dr's antacids made her much worse) and other conditions have been permanently handled going to this Chinese herbalist. He's $40 a visit and the powders usually run $40/week for a couple of weeks.

Here's a riot: two years in a row we went without electricity for two weeks after hurricanes. Florida Power and Light got the State Legislature to force us to pay our average bill for the time we didn't have power. Apparently the electricity monopoly just couldn't afford to lose the revenue...

I wonder if I stopped using the phone if BellSouth would get a law forcing me to pay my average phone bill.
I like how Floridian have been paying hefty insurance premiums for years without a direct hit from a hurricane and than a few hit and the issuance companies decide it is too costly to cover people. My parents’ home insurance is nearly three times my property tax and they are only cover up to 80% of the damage.

I also like how the idiots drained Lake Okeechobee and then cried drought.

This article reminds me of Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World. Scary.

Powders are the easy way to go, ours is the real sticks, twigs and sometimes bugs deal. The "tea" is so nasty I'd almost rather lick the floor of a porn theater but it works and works fast. I used to have chronic sinus infections. 2 weeks of antibiotics and they'd be gone for a month and then back again. 3 days of "tea" and I didnt get one for 2 years.

Imagine how healthy you'd be if you licked the floor of a porn theater!

Maybe you don't get sick because you subconciously don't want to drink that beetle bile tea again?

I hear ya. He put me on the tea treatment once when the powders didn't work. The smell would drive my entire family out of the house. And in winter that's something.

My wife had chronic stomach pains that the doctors kept prescribing stronger and stronger antacids for. A friend recommended the herbalist and he said that the problem was "not enough stomach acid" in stead of "too much". Two weeks of powders and she hasn't had a stomach ache in 6 years. God only knows what the allopaths would eventually have done.

Whatever the cause, I'll take it. I went to the Dr. over my right wrist about 6 years ago after it hurting for a couple years, they gave me naproxen. One pill lit me up so bad that that I felt like my innards were on fire for 12 hours. I then went to my Asian body work specialist and she massaged my forearm and really dug into the tendons. Then put an herbal wrap on it for 3 days. It still doesnt bother me...

Thousands of years of herbal study or 150 years of "western medicine?" Tough call...

My wife bought an electric herb cooker from our herbalist for $20. We plugged that thing in out on the back porch.

Here in southern Minnesota we don't really have a choice of Western or herbalists.
