We will now see mandatory safety labelling on turkeys, perhaps even licensing for friers. Makes fantastic turkey. Ya just gotta be 2% smarter than the equipment yer operating.

While definitely ignorant, this particular incident, the Turkey Launch Vehicle, in no way plumbs the depths of stupidity of true Darwin Award Nominees. Forgetting to pull the bag from the turkey is a not so uncommon mistake for people who are cooking one for the first time. This is an act of ignorance rather than dedicated stupidity. Darwin Award status is only given to those who engage in an activity that transcends the bounds of normal stupidity and achieves a state of stupidity so profound that it elicits only a hushed awe from the observers. I suggest that Ken give his neighbors an "Minor Honorable Mention" instead of the full Darwin Nomination. A true Darwin Nomination of course requires a fatality.

Default The TLV

Remember you heard it here first! I figure with one video on Utube of a planned TV launch you could start a fad. "Here hold my beer...".

Merry Christmas to all. For the first time in my little girl's life I didn't actually get to open presents with her as I decided it may be a good idea to let her spend time with her mom in FL this year. Happy for her. but made for a rather bland day for me this year. Not bad mind you. Just different than the last 10 years.
Ken- that may be the best turkey story all season. I've witnesses the frozen explosion before, but the pressurized bird sounds like a $100k Funniest videos thing. Hope you and your boy had a great day.
You guys and gals take care. I'm off for a few days and think I'll keep the computer that way, too.

If you can't have peace- get a piece. Bye!

Well I for one think watching yuppy neighbors blow their turkey across the parking lot for Christmas would be grand entertainment..Good for you Ken!

My girls did a great job with their first christmas dinner, I'm very proud of them. After munching out we went up to visit my mom in the hospital and hang out for awhile, all in all a pretty good day.
