Not that it makes much difference to very many people (except maybe Criville), but according to MotoGP, the fastest race lap is by Alex Criville in 1998 of 02:02.335 (158.996km/h), which certainly seems faster than a 02:02:854 by my calculations.

i`m living in europe and will be there by friday evening. don`t get jelous. last gp i saw, was a month ago at sachsenring.

but superbike crowd at assen is even better.
