Those numbers are generated by marketing people, in reality even though there may have been a potential 1 million veiwers in Australia, I bet you could count the actual people watching it on one hand. Anyhow while we are on the subject, what is with all the armour and helmets, it really is a soft option of a game, and they call it the land of the brave...he he he!!(must have originated in California)

I don't know one person who's ever watched the "Super Bowl", that I'm aware of. I always thought it was some out-door concert

Sporting event hey!? Where's the bikes to go with the helmets? All the body armour, do they shoot at each other?

Just don't get it.

Dazed and Confused.

Errm 43.5million? The World Cup Final gets about 25million in the UK alone and about 2 BILLION (yes 2000 million) worldwide. Superbowl - maybe they show it here but I've never met anyone except Americans who have watched it. Strange how the US doesn't partake in any popular international sports except at the Olympics....

"Strange how the US doesn't partake in any popular international sports except at the Olympics.... "

basketball, baseball, hockey, wrestling (real stuff at high scholl and collegiate leve), soccer, etc.

The US participates quite a bit in all of these :international" sports. Are are you one of those Europeans that don't think anything that originated in the US or outside Europe counts? Basketball and baseball (both American invented sports) are very popular in many parts of the world. Hockey (a Canadian/North American sport) is also very popular here. These are all international sports, most of which have no international competition other than at the Olympics. We also have a team in World Cup Soccer (we may not be very good, but we participate).

What international sports do the Brits participate in that Americans don't? Get off your high horse, I was not trying to say the Superbowl is more popular, just correcting the original post that said it is not seen outside of America.

Hey MO, could this somehow be incorporated into the post box.

Let me try one

<a href="http://www.motorcycle.com/"> http://www.motorcycle.com/<a>

Hey, that worked, cool. Will I be able to remember it? Probably not, I'm not a HTML programmer. So maybe MO could provide an easier way to do it, or add more info about it under the "Allowed HTML" heding on the post page.
