If I read this correctly a peak of 195K of you MOrons watched the GP, that seems like a tragically low number given NASCAR Raceday got 483K. That's why Speed doesn't show more motorcycle racing for those who complain about it. We as a nation prefer to watch almost anything else.

I have been saying this every time people complain about Speed.
Speed is not in the business to lose money and it appears Motorcycle racing is a total money loser. We ought to thank Speed for showing it at all.

Well those ratings pretty much suck. Any questions?

Interesting that Formula Xtreme drew 50,000 more viewers than Superbike racing. Must me all those rabid Buell fans.

Well, the potentially brilliant careers of our budding MO-grown TV executives just went up in a...um...I'd say "flames" but a .12/.13/.20 share is more like a pathetic little puff of smoke.
I am surprised, however, that the ABC rebroadcast drew 1.1 millon. Not real good, but actually better than I feared. |

I think most riders are out riding (or wrenching)when the stuff is broadcast.

Oh well, sad indeed!
Why is it that America likes to watch rednecks chase each other around an oval so much better than actual racing? Perhaps turning both left and right is too much to follow? Does F1 get ratings that are this sad? We need to form a MO only expatriate community somewhere in Europe. Perhaps making a race track it's center? |

Some cable stations would be ecstatic to get 82K viewers. That number might be acceptable for Speed. I'll bet many shows get far fewer than 82K households.
ABC showed MotoGP on a Sunday morning right? I'm out riding or camping or something..... not plopped in front of the freaking idiot box.
