First post and all that nonsense. If you can't get enough of last Sunday's race-check crash.net. They have 800 pics on line.

How much to you think previous track experience helped Nicky on this race? It is kind of hinky that two American riders who have had trouble getting a finish in the top 5 jump to the top. Rossi, did not look like Rossi finishing this race.

Default Worth the wait MO thanks

Excellent stuff. The Nicky shot with the flag is going up on my wall. From the land of Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket comes a new American Hero. Someday they should make a movie about the Hayden boys, their Mom and Dad, sis etc. Fantastic stuff Fonz. MO you're the best!

Go Nicky!

Thanks guys, It's great to see something other then what Speedvision was showing.

Hope Nicky can keep on winning. It did look like Rossi was just kind of sitting there in the end.

Guess we will see at the next race.

Go NICKY!!!

I'm a big Nicky fan, Colin as well. Not to take anything away from either of them, but I'm sure that track knowledge was a factor in the results. I'm hoping that they can both keep the momentum going and keep getting podiums.

As far as Rossi, I don't think he felt that it was worth the risk to try to beat two guys who do not realistically matter in the points race at this point. If Biaggi or Gibernau had been in front, Rossi would have won.

Speaking of freedoms - anyone know why the Fortuna advertising was not removed from those bikes (and Elias' and Xaus' leathers)?

A rough and ready check of lap times as shown on motoGP site shows Rossi lost a lot of time just after being passed by Edwards on lap 15. It wasn't until lap 20 that his speed exceeded Edwards. Then Edwards slowed quite a bit on laps 30 and 31.Check comparable times:

lap -------VR-------CE

30 1'24.862 1'25.325

31 1'24.576 1'25.411

32 1'24.753 1'24.885

Edwards got his finger out on the last lap. Rossi hit his highest top speed by far on the penulimate lap-a 251 and change. He was trying.

But I wasn't there so you could be right.

From the lap times it looks as though Rossi had the wind knocked out of hs sails being passed by Edwards at the Corkscrew.
