Much thanks for the pictures and sounds of the RC166. These are some of the best I've experienced.

There must be a story behind the written changes made on the 1966-67 palmares. Anybody know what it is?

Neither Biaggi or Sete are in contention at the moment with Rossi. I think he would have made a supreme effort if Melandri was leading which did not happen of course.

It is dangerous to try to second guess Rossi's intentions or thinking as we will probably be wrong. He may be more human in the good sense than most of us would imagine. But, more focused when it counts than any of us coud ever imagine. A true fighter and champion and inspiration to all the riders.

Coming from Philadelphia to go to LaGuna was an effort of course. No disappointments. Scramp's handling of the event including traffic control was way better than ever before.

Yes, they did blow it on grouping the food joints together and they lost McDonalds by raising the rent so high. So food was marginal and certainly over priced which should make us more picnic minded next time. It took half an hour to cross the Dunlop bridge once. But I am not mad at Dunlop. Not mad at anybody just grateful for the MotoGP Programme

Rossi is not only the best bike racer in the world, he's also the noblest.

He knew how much anticipation there was for this race from the 2 American riders, he saw they had a decent drive in they're spirits and knows he already carries the 05' GP championship in his shirt pocket, so he said to himself (in Italian of course): "What the hell, I'll let them have they're 15 minutes, it's not like they'll win anything back in Europe and they won't change anything in the top of the chart, so my friend Marco will still be 2nd." And then he just continued cruising down hill in neutral while he enjoys the view.

I really didn't see any fighting spirit in the way he was riding in Laguna, definitely not the Rossi that kicked Sete out of the race in the last corner in Spain (and braking his spirit completely by doing so).

I think Rossi was letting the Americans have their day. But, the SpeedTV interviews related how familiarity with the track helps in the corkscrew and knowing where the bumps are. I'm sure Rossi could have pulled closer to Haydon, but he was slower after turn 5 and over the hill, so I think he probably decided not to risk pushing through that section and settle for a podium finish.

Also, if Nicky was being pushed we don't know that he wouldn't have responded and gone faster to stay in front.

I missed the show, because I couldn't believe they would ever sell out. In the past I've brought my own lunch and drinks and just make a picnic out of it. You used to be able to just saunter up to the turn 4 grandstand just before the race and sit in front of the screen, but I'll know better for next year.
