Default Re:Oh Cool,

When I go to the races there I do take a trailer because I can't drive an RV and ride a motorcycle at the same time.

I have done some nice rides to Monterey also and California 1 is about as incredible as it gets.

You can also ride over to Hollister from the raceway and meet fellow members of the GTPB.

Default Re: MotoGP 90% + for 2005 return to Laguna Seca

I really hope this happens. Is Laguna Seca as fast a track as Barber though? Anyone hear what improvements have to be made to the track? So many questions.....

Default speed

i haven't raced on either track. i do know that barber is considered a second and third gear only track. that would make laguna much faster.

from what i've read turn 2 at laguna needs work for the gp machines. i don't know for sure i have only seen 2 from the monitor. i expect runoff in rainey curve will be increased. the corkscrew seems to lack space but i haven't seen anyone get in trouble there.

The corkscrew itself isn't too bad but the left hander down the hill past it would be pretty bad if you crashed there. If you lost it in the beginning of the corner there's about 30 yards of runoff. If you crashed mid-corner or highsided on the exit there's about 30 feet. Not good.

Default Grossly Off Topic cuz I'm a big baller, shock collar, etc. etc.....

I have heard of someone making the 5 1/2 hour trip to downtown Chicago for Gino's pizza, then driving straight back. From Minneapolis.

Of course there is at least one place in the Twin Cities with similar stuffed pies, the Chicago-originated Frankie's Pizza, Pasta, and Ribs, although Gino's does have the one-of-a-kind slightly sweet cornbread-type crust. MMMM man it is so good.

I've got the hookup for a free room at somebody's house in the hills of Carmel so I'll see ya all there.

I'm there, but us East Coast guys probably will be sans motocicletas. Any place in the area that a decent naked/sport/sport-tourer can be rented? Or maybe Buz will let me borrow the Brutale for the day (or three). Ah, hell, I'll even suffer with the Duc.

Oh, and Kpaul better show up. I gotta meet that freak in person. I even promise to be nice...until he pisses me off.

Only if you give us the address. How many MOFOs can your friend's house sleep, anyway?

Go to Eaglerider and you could rent an E-Glide. We could have a contest to see who could grind the floorboards off of one the fastest on the twisties up there in Big Sur.

Default Excellent Timing

Very clever ... Dorna and Laguna Seca announce their bold move just days after the AMA fumbles its way towards neutering Daytona and sticking with a losing class structure. As if it weren't already obvious how quickly these organizations are moving in opposite directions, this puts a punctuation mark on it. C'mon AMA, remove your head from the roadracing bunghole before it's too late.
