Crash.net says the test was held at the circuit at Catalunya which would follow as the fast lap times at Valencia are in the 1'33" range. Anyway , this bodes well for Edwards '04 season.

YEEHAW!!! Wonder if he'll still be quick when he gets a feel for it? All is forgiven Honda (by me anyway). Who's getting Rossi's seat? This is shaping up to be a quite interesting '04 season. 4 DUCATI'S!

Colin Edwards as fast as Rossi? The only thing to think about is where you get your info. Check motogp.com: Rossi's fastest lap was lap 24 at 1'33.317, a new record.

The confusion is that Colin was not at Valencia, where Sundays race was, but at Catalunya where Rossi set fast lap of the race this year at 145.472. Colin was not as fast but faster in race trim. It's a bit Apples and Oranges though because testing and racing are different. A 145.3 in this scenario just shows that he (Edwards) can get around pretty quick on a bike that he hasn't had much time on let alone been riding for two years.
