Again, Edwards rode the Honda at Catalunya

where last June Rossi set a lap race record at 1'45.472" Check out the motogp web site for a great pic of colin on the Honda. He looks better with hair. Also you can vote for colin to win the title: right now he is trailing in a vote about evenly split.

Yes, "pretty quick" describes it. Compared to Rossi, Gibernau, Biaggi, Checa, Capirossi and Tamada and quite possibly Hayden, he's not a contender. Better equipment might help, but IMHO he doesn't have the drive or the talent to consistently win at MotoGP against the "Big Boys" or, more importantly, the championship. He consistently keeps the Honda name up there, and that's why he's liked by the Honda folks. He'll have more podium chances when Rossi retires to race cars, and when Gibernau, Biaggi, Checa, Capirossi, Hayden and Tamada all quit, which they won't, so in all likelyhood Edwards will continue to be the "steady eddy" and take his paycheck. How does the song go? "Nice work, if you can get it."

My 2 cents....

How do you figure that? Did you happen to SEE the last half of the 2002 WSBK season?

Look how far Nicky Hayden has come, despite being behind on such experience. Some say it's because he's on superior machinery. Well we'll see what the TT does with such machinery. We've all seen what he does with a competitive bike--err, almost all of us.

IMHO Edwards (or Bayliss's) drive or talent are questioned by very few. If you get a chance to watch the 2002 WSB series check it out, I'd love to watch it again.
