It looks like Colin is turning some good times in qualifying. Man, I want to see the TxTornado wring that Aprilia to a podium, and pass a bunch of Hondas in the process.

Default the water in italy ...

what're they putting in the water in italy?

the top two riders in the world are italian.

and ducati, with a bare minimum of development time, creates a brand new V-four that is running at the head of the pack.

do you think yamaha, kawasaki, and suzuki are gnashing their corporate teeth? i'll bet they are. the remainder of this year, and next year, will be very interesting ... especially if the mad duc gets better still.

The way Capirossi and Biaggi were going at it last week should make Rossi take notice, It'll be interesting to see if the Ducati can out pull the Honda on Catalunya's straight's. All three should hope Tamada get's another crappy start or they might be in for an unpleasent surprise.

Agreed, but its a shame he didn't take the Honda on Bridgestones instead of the crazy 3 cylinder machine. His talents are being hidden back in the pack with that thing unlike his old rival Bayliss who has been making a few take notice. The difference seems to be Ducati develop motorcycle engines whereas Aprilia got the F1 guys to build their engine and it hasn't worked for them, not with their chassis and electronics at least.

Perhaps Agostini (remember him - 15 world titles) and the Pope blessed the water they drink or something.

Ducati are certainly doing the business. Thankfully for the Japs they still have Honda upholding their honour, the others need to retreat and regroup.

As KPaul knows the in-lines were never going to cut it in this company, but I'm still baffled as to why the Suzuki V4 is a dog and this year is a different engine from last year and they still can't get it right.

There's nothing at all new in the idea that a smaller, less hidebound and bureaucratic company would come up with improved innovations. After a bit the big companies copy these innovations and, being able to outspend the little guy, dominate once again.

Happens all the time. Look at Microsoft.
