Default Other Valencia Results

Click on SuperStock Results for World SuperStock results from Valencia today.

"Production" 1000cc -- Ducati 999 beats Gixxer 1000 and R1. Not exactly sure what mods are allowed -- I think it is just shocks and exhaust, similar to AMA Supersport.

SuperSport Results for World SuperSport.

Looks like the "old" gixxer 600 is not yet obsolete -- Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha 123, best Kwacker was 11th. Be interesting how this compares to Daytona next weekend.

Unfortunately, SpeedTV doesn't show these races here. Could be better races than the Superbikes.

Bring on the racing!

Default Great Marketing Idea!

We can introduce a "Rossi Replica" line of arm chaps, in his trademarked neon yellow, and a "Rossi Replica" beanie helmet to sell to the guys riding Honda cruisers.

They can identify with the 1%ers and the racers at the same time.

Good luck with the b'day party. I have also missed lots of riding opportunities to spend time with my daughtor, and with the benefit of hindsite, I don't regret a second of it.

Cheers

plus with the springer you'd have more flex than you could shake a stick at.

Default Chain Alignment

Hmmmm.....I recently read on Colin Edwards' web site that his Aprilia had at least one broken chain in the recent IRTA tests. If true, it could be a result of misalignment due to the swingarm flex.

Uhh.....i think it is a little ridiculous to call longer wheelbases a harley feature. First off, the "longer wheelbases" are probably under 58 inches, likely to be around 56 or so. that is by no definition long, just longer.

Second, When harleys started, EVERY bike had a long wheelbase. It was a question of packaging. Through the ages, yes "choppers" came about, but you must agree that HARLEY never made one. it was the harley aftermarket, and done for a different reason than handling traits.

Also, there are SEVERAL other ways to reduce a bikes tendency to wheelie. Lower, more forward mounting of the engine, higher swingarm pivot closer to the center of the bike, rear ride height, etc.

I think you will agree that the lengthening of the chassis comes from the lengthening of the swingarm, wheras the harley way is to kick out the front end.

So, how you say that is copying a harley feature is questionable to me being its not even a harley feature, just a single motorcycle trait, shared by every brand, indeed even before harleys were made, and even at that it is questionable it could even be called a feature (triumphs used to feature lucas electronics), and lastly the implications in each respective case are at polar ends of their application.

I enjoy every minute of it. He still holds my hand and calls me daddy. Soon enough he'll be giving me one word answers and won't want to be seen with me and prefer to hang with his friends.

You think there is a way to make the rear end rigid? A buddy of mine had an old Triumph chopper and back then they removed the shocks and put on steel struts for that smooth rigid ride.

He rode his from Michigan to Florida!

That is not necessarily pre-destined. My daughter is 17, and very independent, but given a choice of skiing or mountainbiking with her friends or with her old man, she will almost always choose the old man -- often asking her friends to join us. We spent this morning sitting in front of the TV watching the World Superbike races (aka Ducati Cup).

She also holds my hand and calls me Daddy and kisses me good-by in front of her friends. Of course, she is working on me to buy her a 620 Monster so she may have some ulterior motives

Cheers
