Oh my gosh! He's got a secret, and it's.... GOING FASTER!!! Wow, truly earth shattering.
That's got to be the cheesiest thing I've heard a motorcycle racer say in awhile. What a dork. I do hope he gives the Honda's a run for their money though, I'm already getting sick of it. Of course as the other mfgs. catch up things will get more interesting. I've got to believe that Ducati will be right up there too once they get the Desmosediciachinacho, or whatever its called sorted out. |

The Aprilia is supposed to sound fantastic. However, I can't wait to hear the new Ducati. If they choose the paired firing order, it should sound just like a big V-twin, except it will be revving 3 - 4K higher than the already fantastic sounding Ducatis and Hondas.

Check that....all this "old" tech that everyone said should go the way of the dinosaur are going to show Honda what's what. I eagerly await Ducati's entry next year, and I still (laugh) want to see what the hell MZ thinks they are going to do.
I am trying to imagine what a huge desmo revving that high is going to sound like... --Foxy

I've heard the RS3 at Jerez this year. Besides NOT sounding like either a twin or a four, the most unique thing about it is how loud it screams--really LOUD, maybe louder than the 2-strokes (read "shrill"). When it comes around, you KNOW its the RS3.
The RS3 can definitely breathe--it's exhaust mid-pipe looks like its 4-in. wide. I still prefer the deep sound of the RCV V5. |
