It was before all those necessary sacrifices we all had to make to live in a larger society.

Remeber that stuff? Hell, I was in the slideshow. The pic of the kid on the SL90 dated September 1970 at El Mirage, is me. Old S Hunky sent me the slideshow from some guy in Australia, and some of those people on the big 4 strikers were ex-riding buddies of my uncle who have passed on to the big desert in the sky. Thanks LR, these pics bring a tear to my eye, remembering how simple and fun dirt riding use to be. I tried to keep it up by riding a 20 year old CR500 against all my biddies new KTM four strokes, but fate had other plans for me...

Wow what a score! I love the Craftsman work boots, Chino's and a jean jacket look...we didn't need no stinkin' armored ga'dam britches back then by golly...jus' throw a set o' nobbies on the ol' Tiger and go for it!! little duct tape on the headlight so's you could ride to work the next day without havin' to squint...

Yeah, I gotta scan some old pics of my Uncle on his A10 with all his riding buddies, all taken at El Mirage about the same time the pics on that slideshow were taken, Green sticker? Spark Arrestor? We don't need no stinkin' spark arrestors...don't want to start a sand fire, sand's like magnesuim, might burn up the whole dang world!
