Looks like the new KTM is living up to its promise, and Mike "Believe the Hype" Alessi took second overall at yesterday's Hangtown National MX. This included a runaway second moto win, where Alessi demonstrated the bike's advantages in lightness and handling over the course of a long moto.
Does this mean that the future of MX will now include lighter, higher reving hand grenades? Please. Put it side by side with a 300 2 stroke. Let's end the 2 stroke handicap at the National level.

Amen to that. It will be a hard sell because of Honda and their agenda setting mode for the sport of off-road motorcycling. KTM is going to release some "clean" two strokes in the near future that will use the direct-injeciton two cycle design, that are cleaner than any racing four cycle in NOX, HCL & C02 emissions, so let's see Big Red try and stop that. The AMA is in Honda's pocket if anyone hasn't noticed already...
