Default Interview with Project Two 50

Here's an interview with a race team that's going to run a YZ250 against the 450 four strokes in several national races, SX & outdoor tracks.

Looks like the beginning of the end for the Japanese four stroke MX bike.

Weight horsepower weight horsepower. Is this lost technology? Back in the day a 35hp RD350 easily smacked down any big 750-4 on a windy road. Now "sportbikes" weigh over 400 pounds and sure they get a lot of power but a 200 pound bike with half the power will shred the bigger bike except for top speed. Did we all forget this simple equation? Add horsepower or reduce weight. The factories went with more hp because it's easier to increase displacement and everyone got seduced by that siren song. Does the few extra mph on the top matter when bikes are already running 160mph? I prefer the lighter bike.
