Great pictures Mscuddy! Love seeing the old jerseys. What time frame we talking here doesnt look that old. Maybe early 80's?

I caught DeCoster, Lackey, and Robert in there. I used to see those guys race out in Buchanan Michigan back in the 70's. Cool pix.

Moke, those were pics from the early to late 70's, with the last picture one close to my heart, some kid racing a stone stock '72 RT2 Yamaha 360 Enduro.

Some of the Hannah pics were the early eighties, along with the Marty Smith & Fire Engined Hondas.

Those were the best days for motorcycling in my humble opinion. Both street & dirt.

I was watching motocross on teevee with the youngster the other day and he asked me why the riders swing the back end of their bikes way out to one side when they go over jumps. I have no dirt experience; why do they do that?

Ken, it's because "it looks cool"...no other reason. Maybe sometimes it's to set up for the next turn, that's comes after the jump, but most of the time it's for show. Like the ear rings, tatoos and body piercings.

And our energy drink of choice was a 16 oz Coors btw.

I'll be damned. Here I was, thinking it was some neat technique vital to winning form.

One certified move is the Bubba Scrub. Going over the jump super low, sideways.

1 is Howerton. 8 is Karsmakers. 2 is "Too Tall" Bell.

Awesome. Looks like 79ish.

Thanks, Cuddy!

Aah! Just saw the older photos. That RT2 is classic! Love the picture of the guy crashing on a tabletop flat surface!
