"There are too many things in the environment that compete with bright clothes, including brightly colored cars"
True. But there's more to it than that, and I've never heard anybody talk about it. Think about camouflage clothing - it's not just the green/brown colors that make a soldier or hunter blend in with the background, it's also the pattern. It breaks up the human silhouette (that's why they make blaze-orange camo, since animals are color blind.) Now picture a multi-colored racing style jacket or full leathers. Not only are the colors blending in with the cityscape, but your human outline is broken up by the pattern. You're camouflaged. I read somewhere that an orange helmet is great for visibility. I'd buy that. The helmet is head-shaped, and the orange is the color of warning signs.

I used to think that MSNBC channel may be good and neutral a bit, but is has lately fired two of the most famous journalists – Keith Olbermann and Octavia Nasser.” - Al-Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn.
