Default GSXR1000 vs Tuono

Dang sweet consolation prize.

Set it up with convertibars and you've got both the supersport and Tuono riding positions, too......in one bike.

Have fun!

Yep, the Tuono is uglier than a mud box.

The CBR600RR and 1000RR (heresy, I know) have also picked up on the "magnet dragged through a box of bike parts" styling, too.

You can build your own, just buy a cosmetically damaged bike and modify it to your hearts content.

New bars and a few other parts and it can feel just like a standard on steroids. R1, GIX 1K, CBR or RC 51 are all good candidates for this.

I test rode a Tuono and the one thing I didn't like was the lack of low end power, it just wasn't even close to my R1. The bars also seem way to high to me also. But for the money they charge for the Tuono I could buy a nice used R1 and add Ohlins suspension and upright bars and the handling difference's would be negligible.

Dude. The Ninja 250 kicks the Tuono's ass.

Kicks it.

The Yamahammer YZF-6R is rather sweet too. The Tuono is cool. It looks better with the race kit with belly pan.

Does anyone make a 600 cc triple? Would that even work? A 600 cc triple standard? That might be unique. Of course I don't know jack ***** about engineering. Will somebody please build me a 600 cc triple? I would very much appreciate a 600 cc triple.

Default $9999?

Where did you get for that? I can't find a dealer that will come off of MSRP.

Default I had no idea I would create such a firestorm

I purchased the bike at Chandler Harley Buell in Chandler Arizona. As a returning long time valued customer who has purchased motorcycles there before, I got a special deal.

Also, please let it be known I did not mean to sound upset at anyone, I simply meant what I said, I purchased it for myself, not to please anyone else, no offense taken, none offered to anyone I had hoped. I just wanted a rare (read not a me to) bike which is affordable, easy to maintain (no chain), gets a LOT of attention and sounds like a Harley when equipped with the race kit. I got what I wantedÂ…

Suzuki GSX-RÂ’s, Honda CBRÂ’s, Kawasaki NinjaÂ’s, Yamaha R series etc. etc. while great bikes do not fit my ownership criteria. The Aprilia Tuono fit the rare part but not the rest.
