Not to be a party pooper, but "Sukawski" is impossible to write in Japanese. The "w" and "s" needs to be followed up with vowels--the only consonant that does not have to be followed with a vowel is "-n", which is tacked on to the end of a syllable, as in "Arisaka-san" (Mr/Ms Arisaka) or "ichinensee" (freshman).

But what will happen to the Bandit 600, the Katana 600, and the ZX-6E then? ;o)

He isn't kidding. You should read a review of a Japanese car show. You would be rolling.

I like the idea of feeling sushi. Very progressive.

I wonder if Suzuki will bring back the slogan (Japan-only market) "Suzuki Motorcycles: Safe and Joyful"

The american lawyers wouldn't let it in the US though.

Default Re: Update on Kawasaki/Suzuki merger

Just like the Pontiac is really a Chevy with cruise control and power windows and a slightly different body style, are we now going to see Ninjas that are really GSXR's but with a different fairing? That would be sad, really sad. From this new press release, the way they are talking doesn't do anything to remove doubts--if anything it makes you REALLY doubt!

If, on the other hand, you see wonderful Suzuki fuel injections in Kawasaki bikes, and Kawasaki ram-air and that intense howling engine feel in Suzuki bikes, but each is only using the other's know-how to help make their own creations better, then voilÃ* ! -- ! Just what these two companies needed to up the ante and be fiercely competitive against Yammy and Honda. But a warning: it's a really thin line between being a crappy Chevy/Pontiac relationship, and being two excellent yet different companies who share their knowledge mutually. Before long, you are seeing them share the same chassis, or have the exact same motor in both Kawis and Suzis to save production costs, and voila! Sing it:It's that great GM feeling! And since people with money make such decisions, and not the engineers, it's not long before it inevitably becomes that way. Thing is, consumers are smarter than companies give them credit for, and we intuitively can feel that "GM feeling" and we avoid it. So, let's hope they use their resources synergistically, and pool them so they each can make better bikes, NOT just cheaper bikes... that's the key. If this is only about both of them pooling to make cheaper bikes, then they both will begin to suck. If they can balance the goal of cheaper bikes with the goal of pooling and sharing technology so they both have BETTER bikes, then I'm all for it, but will watch them with a very skeptical hawk-eye.

They already got video games call " Let's make an ICE CREAM SHACK" and "lets grow a championship winning horse". I was over there and they had an ACURA MDX called a HARRIER, which if you know anything about american jets, that's the most crashin'est of them all.

Only the other day I was thinking, how boring Kawasaki's have become, and when they announced the new zx6 would increase in capacity and no longer be eligable for supersport racing, it was obvious that strange things were happening ... If it isn't winning races then it won't be selling for long either.
