Wow, I never heard about that 65K dollar rear shock story. Anybody have something to back it up? I always thought there was very little you could alter on a Supersport machine, but reading the AMA rulebook at their site seems to comfirm that the rear shock can be replaced with an after market item (however linkage must remain stock).

I don't know what to say on your comments about pros in certain classes of AMA racing. Really, they are in every class. Rich Oliver, in 250GP, he's an ace, and has won that title many times. Not sure about his equipment (factory or privateer), but he's certainly a PRO. In fact, it is called AMA Pro Racing, there's other places for ameteurs to race. I don't know how you would decide who is a "pro" and who isn't, and who should be allowed to race in what class. I think that (especially in the hands of the AMA racing people), would just screw things up more.

Won't comment on the MX stuff, I don't follow it and therefore don't have an opinion.

I hate to actually agree with anybody, but I have to say, that in a street compairo, excluding the F4i just seems foolhardy. Keeping in mind what you guys wote in the first 600 shootout, anyway.

...and I don't even ride sportbikes much...

I've been sending along the odd pestering email about it for some time now - I'm stoked to hear that it's in the cards.

Anything I can do to help it along, I'm ready! Whining, grovelling, begging of mfgr's reps, escorting umbrella girls, swilling hoppy beverages, you name it - I'm there.

Cheers,

hawker

I see the 600 class as the support class.

If it isnt, why not kill the superbike class?

Keep the factory riders in the superbike class.

Let the other pro racers develop on the little bikes.

250GP should be one of the best classes. If you

want a world ride i the GP class how can you

say you have experience when all you ride is a 600?

The Kawi's a couch! You must be nuts, I've ridden the 2001 ZX6r and the R6 back to back. If anything, the R6 is a pocket bike.... Lacking the low end grunt of the ZX6r....

Default I agree Completely

I agree completely - ZX6r vs. Honda as far as the real world goes, and then run 'em all on the track at the same time. Makes sense to me. Probably not MO's fault, sounds like they had some trouble getting bikes from the MFGS.
