the guy in the article says he only paid 6.50 - Bull Hockey what is the tax rate in France - he and the rest of the country pay out the wahzoo for his care - and like others mentioned - look at the economy - it is in the toilet.

Where did you get this #? not that I doubt it I just want to know so I can see who the 46 million are...



my wife worked 15 years at the local county hospital and no one was refused care - NO ONE - yet most had no insurance - so are they included in this #?

Actually it was on CBS Evening News tonight. The figure was in a story about an self employed guy in California that was suprisingly on the State Insurance Commission who couldn't get insurance. In his case he could afford it but he had some "preconditions" which ruled him out.

Their currency is strong, they don't have huge budget and trade deficits we have. Don't have a war they can't sustain. I am not saying that I want the U.S. to be like France but W has ruined this country's future. We need new ideas on health care, energy, crime, immigration etc.
