The alternative of not further-enrichening "The System".

Be a good little consuming taxpayer, and perpetuate this system. Rich Lawyers NEED your money. If everyone were to only enlist a Lawyer when absolutely necessary, then many Law Students might decide to seek another field of study, and where would we be then?

Right. The cop has you on tape in a busy place in Seattle.. I thought when you said 15 mph you were talking about doing your cyclemanship display on a quiet residental street..Not one of the most visible places in Seattle.. Hell why don't you just pop one on Auburn Way, I-5...or 99... You were very naughty khacker. Go to jail do not pass GO do not collect $200.. Why spend money on lawyer talk to the prosecutor yourself?

Strange how you can lose your license for only 30 days, with such a steep fine-I might have read that post wrong-is that correct?

I lost my license for 10 (ten) months for speeding, and the fine was equivalent to about $1200 US.

I'd almost rather pay the larger fine/pay a lawyer and be back on the road in a month.

It's possible he might go to J.A.I.L. if convicted, in addition to massive fines (and paying a Lawyer, to add insult to injury).

This is akin to a life-sentence for possession of rolling-papers, on the basis that it's possibly an "Instrument of Crime".

Silly, huh?
