Agreed. Bad title given the substance of article. Ah well, at least the article's interesting.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guess that stats probably vary dramatically from state to state, based on enforcement practices (including helmet vs. non-helmet laws), types of riding done (i.e., commuting, touring, cruising, knee dragging, stunting, etc.), bike types, and weather, etc. Scary that such a large percentage were uninsured... suggests Florida bike culture ain't so "with it."

That was a typo, he meant to type 1000 pound Harleys.

Had to do it.

For no plaintive bleats through the tinseled horn

Did the black beast even give pause to yield.

Nor did the eyes of our rider forlorn

Make the beast give up an inch of the field.

Is it our lot that we be held so low;

Each intersection a challenge of wills?

So what if they did laugh-stomp-turn and goÂ…

The "news": A Motorcyclist Dies For Cheap Thrills.

Respect is a two-way street IÂ’ve heard say.

This tells us the REAL rules of the road.

Mass is what matters-not the right of way.

Good luck finding solace in the legal code.

Cut off? Let it be. A fool pushes his luck-

And maybe next time they kiss a cement truck!

Yes but you do NOT have to wear a helmet there - mistake - why do you think they call 'em "donor cycles"?

I just read the Highwayman.

I don't own a rapier. If I did I would carve a "C" on on every surface of my work area.

Right now we are doing inventory. I am supposedly managing it. I am managing nothing. Instead I am writing crappy sonnets and dreaming of large breasted women.

Western Civilization is doomed, you know.
