Default Ummm, Have you heard of Oracle?

No offence but damn guys if you're re-keying old stories it seems you aren't using it. You might look into an upgrade.

MS sucks UNIX rules!

Oracle costs money. MySQL is free.

No prob here but it was strange to not be able to always check MO when I got a chance.

New withdrawal symptoms... great.

Plenty reason enough to go for a ride.

It's cheaper if you flip your keyboard over.

Yep. I agree longride. MO is doing it right... Spend the money elsewhere..You can build some pretty good stuff with things like Tomcat, MySQL, JBoss, php, etc..

And Oracle is a beast to try to work with. It needs armies of higly paid consultants to get working (and keep working) I agree aobut LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) [If you have to aske you don't need to know] DO NOT bleive al of that tripe about open source being unsuported - (well it is true in fact that is not supported by fee for service, but it has wonderful support from the community.)

I am a network engineer ( we work with hardware, wired and wireless systems, and routers, switchs and the like, not to be confused with software engineers (aka code-benders). Not that there is anythign wrong with that.
