been there. its the most extraordinary place in my experience. Got lots of pictures somewhere. got stranded once at 15,000 feet when the jeep stalled while fording a stream late in the evening when the waters were rising (melt water from the peaks reaches the valleys by night fall) and while I tried to get the jeep out, the shallow stream turned into a deep raging torrent. and one person who had flown two days before from sea level started getting altitude sickness which is lethal and for which there is no treatment except rapid descent to low altitudes. Except we were a day's drive from lower altitude, and from the nearest settlement and a medical facility stuck by the side of a stream out in the open in rapidly dropping temperatures.

I want to go back soon.

PPS. and the jeep stalled not because of bad driving but the carb seal was bad and water splashed on it and killed it.
