You have a good point but if I am going to pay for your site it should include more of everything. If you want people to come and pay you guys you need to add it all. The best race coverage I have seen came from AMASuperbike.com. You can go onto their site and they will have it live for you. Their Daytona 200 coverage was excellent. They had a guy there sending live updates like every 10 seconds. It doesn't get any better than that. Yes your bikes reviews are ok but the only things you guys have that the others don't are the videos but are they worth my money. I don't need them. All I am saying is if I am going to pay for your site what are you going to offer me that I can't get for free from the other sites.

Heck, most the tools they try to deploy won't work with my system. It'd better be server side tools, or they cut out alot of audience. MO's got the setup in place right now to make this a pay site. He's definately not wollowing in Licensing fees for his server software.

Cool, another web site tied to the print mags (especially if done by Emap with their huge array of bike mags) could provide a lot of the same content that MO does now.

They may not have to worry about turning a profit or even breaking even. They can use the money from the Emap publications to prop up the web site, until it can fend for itself.

What a great ezine! I have enjoyed MO for quite a while and the more it grows the better it gets. I ride a RoadKing and an ST1100. My wife rides a Vstar1100 and a VFR800Fi. I enjoy the "crotch rocket" as well as the "cruiser" stories.

Hopefully you will retain stylish and useful advertising just as the ragazines do.

Keep up the good work!

The point is, that you CAN use this info to a certain extent. It is a (mostly) quantitative analysis of the bikes. These numbers help us to understand how and why they do what they do. By your own logic, it seems that dyno time would be a total waste too, because how many of us actually make use of those regularly? Maybe once after you get that pipe on your scoot, and that's it. So why do you care if your bike makes 51hp instead of 49hp? But wait, you say "dynos are invaluable"!

The other thing is: where is this "95%+" figure coming from? Are you assuming that 95% aren't interested in sportbikes? Racing? Track evaluations? Any way you look at it, you pulled this number out of your a . . . er, the air. Rider is the one magazine I know of (so incredibly dull I can't force myself to read it) that doesn't do 1/4 mi times. How does their readership compare with, say; MO, Motorcyclist, Sport Rider, Cycle World, PB, Rider, Fast Bikes, etc. etc.?

Overall, I think MO has pretty balanced coverage of a lot different aspects of the sport. I don't resent cruiser tests or scooter tests, either. So for you to come out and say that MO is wasting their time and money on "sporty" tests (that most of us like), seems very close minded. Lighten up. I am sure MO would like you to stay, but if that is to the exclusion of performance evaluations you can bet that we'll be saying bye-bye to you shortly . . .

ps - I will subscribe when the time comes if any one is counting.
