Oddly enough Mercedes Benz had something similar to this several years ago...it leaned too...haven't seen or heard anything about it since....

I've been lurking here for nearly two years. Why this article stirs me to make my first post, I have no idea. Anyway, off we go...
Is the Carver interesting? Yes, but as long as we're talking about spending enough money for a small house on a cool toy, I think I'd prefer the T-Rex. It doesn't lean, but I think I could cope (subtle sarcasm is so hard to write -- how does Burns do it? No, wait, I said subtle. Never mind...) I like the layout better (2 wheels in front), and it's already available here in the good 'ol USA. Plus, if it's not quite up to your testicular standards, there are several companies that could EFI & turbocharge you to an even higher plane of permagrinned babbling incoherence. Me, I'd see if I could order one with a 'Busa powerplant. Take a look: http://www.go-t-rex.com/ http://www.fast-autos.net/roadtests/trex05/ There's a dealer in Houston (a little over 2 hours away from me). I think I need to show up on my ZX11 one day and smooth talk my way into a test drive.

What is the turning radius on those things? Looks like it might be a lot.

For the kind of money they want for the T-Rex, they should have better weather protection. I think MO should do a comparison. I believe the Carver would beat a T-Rex on a twisty track.

Aw, come on -- they have an optional windshield! ; )
As for the twisty track comparison, the claimed specs would seem to make it an all T-Rex show. The Carver (in the video, at least) is said to do 0-60 in 10 seconds, pull 1g lateral, and has a sub-700cc Diahatsu car engine. The T-Rex, 0-60 in 4.1, 1.9g lateral (that's just crazy), and the engine is from a ZZR1200. It's quite a bit lighter than the Carver as well. It's still too much money, though.
