LRH laughed all the way to the bank, when some people actually fell for his prank. Back when he was a simple Sci Fi author, one of his favorite themes was the idea of cults and religious organizations tricking the sheep into believing whatever they were fed. I'm convinced that Dianetics and Scientology were one big practical joke to L. Ron. I'm sure turned to his friends and said "Watch This!" just before Dianetics was published. -Sean
