I once got a splinter camping and it hurt really bad. Well, by camping I mean the staying in log cabin with jacuzzi and mini bar.

Wait, don't old fogeys just dribble when pi$$ing? I'm 6'3", so you might have trouble getting it over my shoulder even if your prostate was a normal size.

I subscribe to most of the US rags - hey, they're all pretty inexpensive - and I do read the Brit mags "Bike", "Ride", and "Performance Bikes". However, if forced to choose only one, it would be the black-n-white-only MCN. While pretty pictures are neat, substance trumps all.

Us old pharts never have trouble pissing. I fact, I ***** even when I don't want to. Give me three beers and I could ***** over your house. And the new Motorcyclist format sucks harder than that turbine Y2K.

I am a new rider and the article really concerned me enough to consider buying a BSI helmet just to be sure. I do believe that motorcyclist and snell didn't really do a thorough job. I am curious why snell doesn't release the G force data as well as saying a helmet is certified like the motorcyclist article. Anyways here are my questions:

1. Does Arai and shoei make helmets to meet BSI or european standards?

2. If yes, are they available in the US, and why is it that Arai says they make there helmets all to one standard. Do racers wear the snell or BSI or other spec's Arai helmets?

3. If yes, why didn't motorcyclist think to compare the same model arai helmets certified to different standards?

4. Granted I can see why snell got a little defensive. But the tone of the article concerned me. I believe an organization like snell should be concerned only with the safety of their product and should have no problem discussing with us ,the consumer, why their helmet's are safe and have a more objective discussion concerning the BSI and European standards. Frankly it pissed me off. Granted while the motorcyclist article may have been sarcastic and tried to draw this kind of response, I was disappointed to see it from snell.

5. I am right inbetween sizes for shoei and arai, but Suomy spec 1 r fits me perfectly. The Med in the Arai and shoei slosh around way to easily, yes I've tried all of the arai head shapes. Has anyone had any experience with a suomy spec 1 r. I am going to place an order this week and it is the helmet that fits me the best, so if anyone has any good reasons why I shouldn't buy a suomy spec 1 r please let me know.

Thanks,

Nadim
