Also involved in the program .....the Los Angeles County Fire Department......
WTF, they going to be on the side of the road with the hoses at the ready. No, wait, they can hose down the tighter corners to make vehicals lose traction and wipe out. I know, they mean only for rescue purposes, but the statement makes it sound like they will be directly involved with the apprehension of people. Though I'm sure some of you would like to see your assemblymen, and DA on the side of the road. You know, to wave at them, or something like it. |

This is just more of the typical government PR to justify their existence. We all know that the activities in the canyons surrounding LA have been going for many years, and so do they. Just as we have seen with the frequently advertised speeding "crack downs" on various sections of Kalifornia freeways, this too will pass. The government minions at the CHP will direct their troops elsewhere to garner revenue, as soon as the public quits paying attention to this weeks cause du jour. VWW

No surprise here... the exact same thing is happening on a couple of the local NorCal squid hangouts, Hwy 1 in Marin and Skaggs Springs Road in Sonoma County.
A road gets popular, squids start crashing every nice weekend, local law dawgs & fire/rescue get called out to pick up the mess and the call goes out for more law enforcement. Up here they are mostly tagging people for crossing over the double yellow... using planes or unmarked cars as spotters and radioing ahead to a traffic stop it's not a problem, just mind yer Ps and Qs if yer gonna ride squid roads on weekends P.S. As far as that "California sucks" editorial input... that sounds like the kinda thing people say when they're scared someone somewhere else is havin more fun than they are. |

They only just now figured out that Mulholland and Stunt road have too many accidents caused by motorcyclists riding too fast?

On a completely unrelated note, am I the only one who keeps getting "funny feelings" in my pants whenever the brunette in the Levitra commercial or the Overstock.com chick come on TV? This trend toward women "in their prime" seemingly squirming to tear their clothes off and go for a baloney pony ride is making me trip and break things around the house. I guess if you're Buz, you just get used to this sort of thing, but its kinda weirding me out.

Yeah, like it's only been happening for the last 30 years or so.
I stay away from that place. BTW, did you see that sportbike stuck through the cinderblock wall on the news this morning? Not a nice thing to start the day with...
