Default It’s a few ruining it for the many.

What the residents are doing is working and keeping some motorcyclists away but unfortunately it’s the responsible riders who are steering clear. The squids will stay and just make things tougher for them until something drastic happens like a motorcycle ban. If the residents were to work with local motorcycle organizations instead of harassing riders, they might get more accomplished.

It's been that way for a few years now. The week-ends are hell. Try US 79 that end up in Julian, not too many cars or squids on the weekdays.

The ride from Mesa Grande to Ramona is pretty much open on the weekdays. Wach out for rocks.

Default localized overpopulation sucks.

Yet another reason I left SoCal in '82. Sure my riding season is only ~7 months. But I've got scads of good empty roads in easy distance now.

The fact that I get to see performers like Leo Kotke, Dave Mason and The World's Greatest Boogie Blues Band - Canned Heat - for free helps too.

You probably won't be seeing Dave Mason again any time soon. Rumor has it he will be doing community service cleaning up a couple hundred miles of river bank in the mid west. VWW

I think you mean Dave Matthews. Nice to know those self-appointed "stweards of the environment" are flinging their shyt anywhere they please.

Mesa Grande is a great road. Also S1 and S2 once the desert cools down. The good thing is the squids will never be farther than 50 miles from home. If you're willing to ride a little farther, good roads abound.
