Whoever did this is a "prankster", eh? If so then I should be able to put claymore mines at my front gate to kill encyclopedia salesmen and call it a "solicitation discouragement".

A better name for the person or people who did this is "criminal psychopath".

In Brazil, where I live now (but not for long, unfortunately) many of the bikes have an antenna like structure with a small hooked cutter at the end. This is to repel kites, I've been told.

Apparently the favela people fly kites with tiny particles of broken glass glued to the string. An expert kite flier can slice the throat of a passing biker with a one swell swoop. Somebody should explain these people the benefits of plastic wrapping.

No. The apropriate response would involve anal rape, a red hot poker, and a midget in a clown suit laughing evilly in the background.

more like "alcohol-induced moronic actions which result in great bodily injury or death" with a mandatory sentence of a public flogging and 10 years in prison.
