No this is where you post the Dean campaign link that shows how Vermonts budget has been balanced for years, with free Birkies and maple syrup for all.

. As opposed to our national budget that's not QUITE balanced since Bill and Hill got the boot.

Yes, now that you are done covering any real motorcycle manufacturer, and after awe inspiring front page articles such as the STAR article, it's time to move on to covering 3/4 bikes with automatic transmission. Next stop 1/12 bikes. Way to go..

Only a brilliant mind such as yours could equate Kpaul with blood in your stool.

Bravo!

Default The American Superbike

Well, it is a V-twin, and it seems like only one prototype exists, but it's an interesting (promissing?) web site...

Be sure to check the ride-by video. Sound is good.

Well I suppose if ol' Bush would just ignore terrorist attacks like Bill did we could quit spending all this money killin' 'em!

The economy would be great but all your friends would be dead. Maybe we could mix in a BS stock market bubble or two as well.

Looks cool. Looks like they've stuffed in a 90 degree twin, but with the rear cylinder laying down pointing to the back wheel. This layout would probably allow for a really short wheelbase but what about weight distribution?

Default Standard longride response

Truth be told, its cost a hell of a lot of money to develop any vehical. Be it a sport bike or a cruiser. His example of Triumph is not quite on the mark, the 600 won the production class 600 IOM race, and did quite well on its fledgling year in BSBK. It does sell, not as much as the other bikes, but I don't think the Hinkley boys are so blind as to keep a total money loser in there limited stock.

That being said. This is the US of A and the average rider is more interested in chrome and "lifestyle apparel" than a sportbike.

There are afew companies trying to make an American sportbike and I say they should. Contrary to longrides opinion Sportbike riders do not spend money on the latest and greatest, Squids do (just ask Mr ALLCAPS). If Harley clones can keep selling, then sportbike clones can, just takes marketing to the right people. Would an American sportbike ever outsell Suzukawiyamahonda? No, it just need to make a profit. And there is more than one way to make a profit with motorcycles. JMHO
