Well, buddy, Barger is obviously trying to glorify the life they lead 30 years ago.

And no, I wouldn't be afraid to go face-to-face with any law-abiding Hell's Angel. Whoops---kind of an oxymoron there.

LOL - yeah, there sure are.

Try looking up 'irony' in the dictionary, eh?

I say the girl is intitled to her opinion - er, why not do a review on Danielle and save the book for later.....

I read the book as soon as it came out. Allow me to preface my comments with the fact that numerous time I have run into Sonny motorcycling around the west, and he is a guy who you would immediately think is one generous and polite gentleman. Anyone who says different does not know what he is talking about, unless Sonny has somehow diverged from his normal persona. Yes, the Hells Angels have been in the news for violent crimes, and the truth is that Sonny took a big fall for his club in the 80's, due to some very desparate law enforcement attempts that went way overboard in terms of getting at the truth.

Now, if you read the book, and it is not any kind of literary masterpiece, you will see that towards the end Sonny questions himself with regard to the "evil that men can do" and allows that he is not particularly proud of some of the things he has done or been a part of. He is a motorcycle addict much like myself and I suppose you others, and I will stop and help him on the side of the road if I see him out there. At least I'll recognize him, and I imagine he would recongnize me. He is a decent fellow, to say the least.

No, I don't ride Harleys.

You don't know the man, mr. squid. You're speaking on a subject of which you have no knowledge. And Jekle is spelled Jekyll.

I'd have to agree with you on the brevity that anonymity brings. I don't think I have ever seen this much calamari outside of fishermans wharf! It's a book people...no one is telling you to read it or not to read it. Frankly I found it to be entertaining and an interesting read. and I agree with the reviewer it is written in a conversational prose that I found refreshing and easy to follow..
