By the way, I have a hard time seeing virtue in "friendship" and "comraderie" for the purpose of effective criminality. The rest of us would regard this idea as "conspiracy to commit (robbery, rape, murder, euphemisms, etc.)".

I believe they were US bomber crews from WWII, can't remember exactly the details. Correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S. Let's hope Danielle's career doesn't go the way of the 1st most well-known intern's!

You're right. The name was also used by the Third Squadron of the American Volunteer Group fighting in China in WWII. Probably others out there I don't know about. Original poster's point is well taken. Many of these guys gave their lives battling the forces of oppression. A gang of thugs as heroes? Puh-leese.

Thank you, but no, I will never support giving the police this kind of "discretion" in dealing with anybody. It will be a short time before they start using this "discretion" on honest citizens (like me.) Wrote a letter to city hall criticizing the police chief? You'll be taken down to the jailhouse to be "reindoctrinated."
