Yep. See www.argusleader.com (Sioux Falls news) for good coverage. I got the black box stuff from www.rapidcityjournal.com.

here is today's update...it looks like Janklow's son has started on the spin. Head injury, lucky to be here, etc.

I live in SD and was talking to a girl I know in Ohio, and she said she heard some stuff about it too. So news must be getting around, albeit slowly.

"...Russ Janklow said his family realizes that if the motorcycle had struck the car slightly ahead of where it did, his father may have been killed as well.

"Two more feet ... my dad wouldn't be here today," he said."

Janklow's death would have been the only consolation out of this tragic, unnecessary and entirely avoidable murder. Are we supposed to feel fortunate that this poor excuse for a human being survived? I want to puke!

Wow, just read the article in the Argus Leader. It sounds like a car ahead of him stopped at the stop sign to wait for the bike, when Janklow, speeding, decided to pull a real classy move and pass the stopped vehicle at a blind intersection at 80 mph. Reckless to say the least.

Two more feet and at least there would have been some justice. One less politician is of no loss to anyone.

Default Janklow

I'm not defending Kanklow by any stretch of the imagination-----but you can bet that if this was Tom Daschle you wouldn't hear a peep about this from the Argus Leader. The only reason you're hearing the details that impugn Janklow is because he has an (R) next to his name.

So, let's see...he blew around a car (that was stopped at an intersection), and centerpunched a bike, all at around 80 mph! And with a string of prior speeding infractions to boot!

This meance has to be brought to justice. I say we all watch this real close, and if this creep gets off, we all ride fast and hard to his godforsaken state/town and burn something down.

What say ye? Arrrr.
