Ya see KPaul, if you didn't spend every waking minute on this MO web you could be out riding. Chances are you are safer right where you must spend 99% of your life, on your behind and in back of a keyboard. But that goes toward what I wrote about. If you spend a lot of time here you can't possible be hurt on a bike. Keep safe.

I'm not a dope smoker but can't see why anyone should spend a second in jail over it. Ken Lay can rob millions and be Bush's Kenny boy buddy but smoke a joint and spend years in jail.

So stepping off on a sportbike @ 60 hurts more than doing so on a cruiser?

So speeding, dragging floorboards, riding with weak brakes and poor handling on a cruiser makes you safer?

Do you ride with a helmet (by choice) O wise one?

You're the kind of bozo that thinks the size of the gun matters. It don't. Safety matters no matter what you ride.

Congradulations longride, you just made my idiot's list.

What? A cruiser crashed? All by himself?

Hey LONGRIDER set this guy straight... we all know that's impossible.

Are you sure he wasn't riding one of those sportbike things?

...Locked up the rear brake ya say?...hmm can't be using those FRONT brakes no sir...you might go flyin over the handlebars...like my daddy's buddy did back in '53.

Default News Flash to longride cruiser rider DOA

Excellent Post. My brother-in-law is mad at me cause I won't let my daughter ride on the back of his cruiser without a full face helmet and leather jacket and pants. "She is not going to get hurt on a cruiser" he said. "Right your cruiser doesn't go over 15 mph right ?? " I flipped back.

Default Reality check farmboy

Weak argument pal. I ride everyday in city traffic and on a busy freeway (34 miles round trip) . You live in Nebraska, right that makes you a frackin expert on traffic accidents (maybe with a corn silage truck). I live in Seattle the city with the second worst conjested traffic behind LA. Yep you are a real expert. Do me a favor go buy a full-face helmet and wear it. Even though I hate Cornhuskers (GO BUFFS!). Think of Seattle traffic like Lincoln when the Huskers play. only its everyday.

I agree we should have a choice. I do hope, however, that all of us asking government not to interfere with our personal preferences will not ask the government to cover medical bills.
