Motorcyclist is a crap magazine. I subscribed for a few years, but I got tired of reading 100 pages of ad copy. I still subscribe to Cycle World, but only for Kevin Cameron's articles.

I've read quite a few responses here that disagree with the posting of such an article in a motorcyclist publication. After all, how does theft of idea relate to motorcycling? Why should I be bothered by bad behavior when all I wanted to do was read about bikes? Theft is theft. Missing your bike? Your wallet? Your identity? I appreciate it when someone takes the time to warn me of possible shady dealings of others. Thanks for the heads-up, MO. I will not determine the guilt or innocence of Motorcyclist. That is up to the courts to decide, should the offended party choose to pursue such action. But I will keep an eye on that publication.
I have always considered motorcycling to be an activity engaged in mainly by fellows of high moral character. By presenting this act as an example not to be tolerated, we, as a motorcycling community, send yet another message to the general public that ours is a decent pursuit. |
