I have seen it in shops that cater to reloaders or benchrest shooters.

It does well in rifle bores, as well.

I've heard good things about Kroil. Look at http://www.kanolabs.com/ under penetrating oils. The soaked rag trick is a new one on me, but it sounds like a good one.

What kind of impact gun did you use? Some of the cheap ones aren't up to the job. Try a high quality electric impact like a Snap-On or a good air impact gun. If not that put a big breaker bar on it w/ a pipe over that for more leverage and cross your fingers.
