![]() Ok I'll ride my Kawasaki 10,000 miles a year without rebuilding it. Harley overhyped and overrpiced 57 Chevy. I know guys with 100,000 miles on their Concours and GoldWings have not rebuilt them. Why would anyone but a fool buy a overpriced 57 Chevy that requires me to rebuild it every 30,000 miles. I think you been eating to much Chicago Sausage and Milwaukee Beer.

![]() No ***** , that whole race program was an embaresment, even if Harley don't sell sportbikes they still should have fielded a competitive team out of pride, if nothing else, How can Aprilia go from making scooters to WSB in three years, and Harley still screws the pooch after years as a highly competitive team up until the last decade? Even AMF years were good for the race program, Didn't they make enough to support a team?

![]() WSB should be box stock, off the showroom floor with duct tape on the headlights and race tires, that would let manufacturers put their money where their mouth is, save all the high tech for moto gp, Hell make 'em ride to the races just like the old days, by gar!! that'll seperate the men from the boys ['cept in Frisco]

You tend to make good points, but when you state that inline fours are superior because they continually win AMA Supersport championships... That's just ignorant. While the 750cc twins are eligible to race in FIM 600 Supersport, no one has homologated a 750cc twin for AMA Supersport racing. It's nothing but 600cc fours! Always has been... I hear someone might be looking to run a Duc 748 in Supersport sometime soon, but it hasn't happened yet. |

![]() Doh. Nevermind. Just realized the point you were trying to make regarding Honda. It would help if I read the subject lines...
Sorry. |

![]() No one has suggested this yet, but it's really the next logical step... First you make the rule nearly unlimited in design - i.e. no minimum weight, 1000cc engines, etc. Then, you start selling $35K "homologation" bikes to those wealthy enough to afford one. Remember the HD VR1000, and the Yamaha R7?
Soon after, manufacturers start pressuring the sanctioning bodies - why should they bother selling these rediculously expensive bikes to the public that they *probably lose money on anyway* when they could realistically just do away with the whole nonsense? It's a steep slippery slope I hope Superbike racing doesn't go down. |

![]() I'm not taking your bait anymore Mr Cook. It was quite clear that he was referring to HD. I'm pretty bright you know.
And yes I have a 2000 ST4. |

![]() Amen Brother. I'm totally with you on that one. I'm too damn busy to associate with some "group" and exclude all others. I just want to ride.
