Default For how long?

You didn't negotiate salary? Yikes. Good idea to keep the freelance gigs. The rumors abound that MO is not exactly current with payments to their contributors/freelancers. Working for a noble cause is great but you gotta pay the rent too. Might want to get those contracts signed pronto. Maybe ask for a signing bonus up-front.

How about "Caustic"?</p>

From Webster...</p>
<blockquote>

caustic: marked by incisive sarcasm.</p>

Etymology: Latin causticus, from Greek kaustikos, from kaiein to burn</p></blockquote>

I like this guy's style already. And what he says about print magazines having old news is so true. I read MO and the best dutch motorcycle site, www.motormaniacs.nl, and between them they have all the news that appears in print magazines.

Keep up the good work at MO!

Default Man, we are so lucky you aren't fat!

I'll join the chorus here and throw out the prayer rug to you John. I've always enjoyed reading your work in Motorcyclist, and while you undoubtedly had some issues with your old boss, there your's, and you know the man; I'm willing to bet few other around do, so blasting him udner those circumstances is amatuerishly tasteless.

Of course, he's put on a few pounds over the years, much as David Edwards has, but I'll bet he can still run rings around most of the people posting here, especially those who think he's too fat to test bikes.

I still miss those little 'disagreements' you used to have with Tim C. Maybe MO should hire him as well.

Hey Burns,

Post your title like it really reads:

"...this is a part-time job...Editor-in-Chief..."

Don't let your head get to big. I'm watching your ass...

None! Nor do they like to mention this bike in MO! Must not bring in enough ad dollars...?

I've got my money's worth now! Welcome aboard, John! Keep those great articles coming. Also, I believe you finished IB91. How about something on endurance riding once in a while?
