Just curious...what defines a "chick bike"?
As for "vanilla and non-cool"...if you've got something against vanilla, isn't a Vulcan 800 with $2000 of customization less "vanilla" than a stock Triumph? |

Pity they didn't base their new cruiser on a triple, like they did back in the early '70s. Triumphs were chopped almost as often as Harleys were...

If I were to buy a Triumph, it'd be a Legend TT!
...but I'd buy a Nighthawk 750 first... or a W650... or save toward a Camaro Z-28... never mind ;o) |

Yeah its new and its different, but seriously...I just saw the different angles of the photos in Motorcyclist and I can't shake the image of a larger, shinier and dressed up version of a Honda Rebel 450....

Chick bike: bike that can go faster than a Big Twin for less money. Includes most Japanese bikes, a few European bikes, the Harley-Davidson Sportster, and every Buell ever made...

Me too. I've never ride a cruiser before, I'm riding a CR and sv650 now. I sure want to ride one.

How about the Adventurer, Legend TT, and Thunderbird? Those were ALL Triumph triples and have been around for years, but selling very poorly.

Exactly. I also really like the Legend TT (especially in that deep emerald green that matches the British countryside), but I'd buy an SV650, or a ZR7, or a Magna first. That's the problem with Triumph cruisers--they're never FIRST on the list of bikes people want to buy.
