Default Anybody else think....

That these are exactly the wrong bikes for the times? The stock market's in the tank. America's attention is focused on the new war against terrorism. Recession is looming on the horizon.

I hope I'm wrong.

Default Re: Year 2002 Honda reader feedback

I was really wanting a naked RC51 even a naked Superhawk. Have never wanted a i4, since the early 80's when I had a Z1 but the new "919" is just what the doctor ordered for me. Was seriously considering a Buell but now all I can look at is the 919. I guess its down to the local Honda dealer for me! 919 it's poweRED for me...

I would like to see a 4 into 1 aftermarket exhaust with 1 can under the fender a-la the RC211 on the 919. Make it nice and pretty as it will be what the other nakeds, Buell, Bandits, etc will be looking at as it is passing and in front of them.

Has anyone heard a price for the ST yet. Looks pretty good and my Connies getting a lot of miles on her. Could be time for a trade in soon.

Default New VFR's a pig.

I've got a '94 VFR and I was looking forward to buying a new 2002. Well, they blew it. The '99 VFR was 463 pounds, and the new one is 490. Just what I need, an even HEAVIER VFR. This puts the new VFR 20 pounds heavier than a BMW R100GS, even. I'm also disappointed in the coverage here: for some reason motorcycle.com mentions the 9 pound decrease in the Fireblade but NOT the 27-pound increase in the VFR. Grrr.

Too bad. Hopefully there will be a few aspiring "latest, greatest" VFR owners that want to dump their 2001's cheap.

Default RED? AGAIN???

I'm finally ready to make the shift from the increasing limitations of my power cruiser to a sportbike, and the new VFR was going to be my new bike, based on what I'd read on Honda's European site. The black version looks slick, too. But then I read the new Interceptor will only be offered in RED again! Nooooooo! Please, I want black but I'll take silver if I have to...but not red. Honestly can't take red. Sigh. Guess I need to keep lookin'....

Default Dig that crazy factory rat-bike!

That 919 is the spit! You used ot have to crash your bike, take off the shattered remains of the fairing, and paint the whole mess flat black to hide the rough spots. Now Honda (of all companys) does it for us!

So if you crash this, does it mean you have to fix it up real nice? I'm confused.
