It's April already so when is someone going to review the Volusia? It's that time of year and people are looking to purchase new rides. I keep seeing reviews of the 01's for the same bikes that were available last year virtually unchanged. This being a new bike, I would have thought that someone would have been all over this by now.

I bought a Volusia as my first bike as an adult and have been riding it for the past 2 weeks. I can't compare it to anything but a Kawasaki 500 that I had back in 1974. I am a different man and it is definitely a different Ride. Smooth and plenty of power for me. Easy to get used to again. The only thing I might note is I reach for one more gear on the Highway but mabe thats because I am new to the ride again. It feels great and it was easier to justify than a new Harley to both me and the wife

went to americade. rode volusia. fell in love.
also rode 1100 vstar and intruder 1400 and voyager. Liked almost everything about volusia, sound, ride, looks and handling. Suzuki had the best test drive route of any manufacturer there. Yamaha was also good. vstar had more torque but I'll take a volusia. I've ridden HD sportster, old and new style viragos, 1500 vulcan, late 70s goldwing, 2001 750 shadow, 2001 1100 vstar, 2001 1400 intruder, BMW's, yamaha 650 twin, yamaha twin 100,--you get the idea. I LIKE volusia BEST!!!!! If I had a little more cash I'd be riding one. |
