A little glitz is not gonna hurt, in itself, but content-wise, MO ought to look for inspiration to MCN and maybe the brit-mags T.W.O. and BiKE.
K.Duke and JohnnyB both left Motorcyclist; fine. I sincerely hope none of that rag's sensibilities will get imported to MO. The best (most sincere and grammatically correct) writing at that place IMO was by the tragically late Greg McQuide. His were the words that convinced me to buy a bike instead of continuing to read and lust. I liked Bitter Little Man, but saw it as a step backward, i.e.- relegating the best remaining writer to a column and pretty well cutting off his contribution to other content. I haven't read it once since JohnnyB left. I've been here long enough to remember a time before KPaul, when expert opinion was rendered in simple, spare prose on cave walls accesed via 56,000baud modem. A new look and feel certainly won't go amiss; when was the lst time anyon looked at those retarded comics? Or the classified section?

And about the staff: Has anyone at MO (other than Ashley, I guess) been on board for more than a few years? My understanding is that MO has always been the stepping stone to more mainstream positions in conventional motojournalism.
JohnnyB, Calvin Kim, and whats-his-name all come to mind.
